WHAT DOES IT COST TO MAKE A RECORD?

I recommend to all my new clients that they start wtih 3 songs. Particularly if they are new to a recording studio, I want them to understand the process and what it takes to make a great record. There are a lot of variables when making music. During the consultation, I ask a lot of questions that will help determine the approach and cost.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR A SESSION?

Have a demo of the song. Have charts for the song. Practice, and practice some more. Don't put too much pressure on one's self, this is more art than science. Be willing to listen and collaborate on the songs. Allow the Producer to produce.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN GEAR?

Instruments, yes. We will discuss the instrumentation set up prior to the session, and if additional gear is needed we will make provisions to have it in place for the session.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Call and arrange a consultation, let's get to know each other. I want you to have all the information I can give you, I want you to be comfortable with the approach, and most importantly I want to help you make a great record.

WHAT'S INVOLVED IN DOLBY ATMOS MIXING?

In a real Atmos mix, one takes the original multi-tracks and uses them to distribute the music in an immersive manner. This is a remix of the song. The tracks must then be remastered as well.
